Sunset in Bessemer Alabama

I shot this image from behind the hotel where I am staying for the night...

Sunset took place in those few minutes after I had stopped..

I had already gotten thru Birmingham Alabama and was traveling on the open highway of I-59 South when I decided that I was tired and needed to stop....

I got a fairly late start due to rain..

I had waited until the rain completely stopped before leaving my mom's house, lol..

So I am 2 -3 hours behind the schedule I planned out for my day's travels..

I didn't mind being behind schedule..

I successfully avoided having to make the descent down mountainous terrain on wet roads :-)

Will have to get out of here early tomorrow morning if I want to make it home before nightfall..
